Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, inspiration, direction and mentor the Creative & Production teams and those around them.
• Coordinate and manage the Production Dep’t and provide running instructions for all creative to the Traffic & Sales Dep’t.
Commercial & promo copywriting:
• Creating commercials, promotions, and public service announcements for Whiteoaks’ group of media businesses, including on-air, streaming and online web/social media platforms. This includes internal programming and sales content, along with creative for third party advertisers/programmers (clients).
• Provide directions to voice talents (as needed).
• Compose clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy utilizing different writing styles that appeal to various target audiences.
• Drive the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication.
• Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice, adhering to commonly used style guides.
• Work with programming and advertising clients (direct or through an agency) to create scripts, imaging and branding for their product, service, or program. Updating with revisions to meet the client’s needs. Meeting deadlines for campaigns.
• When necessary, voice on-air commercials and promotions.
• As needed, assist with audio or video production
Marketing and promotion:
• Create internal and external marketing for Whiteoaks’ group of media businesses and brands. Projects could include creative for television, print, mobile and web media.
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- Broadcasting College diploma or English/Writing degree
- 5-10 years related copywriting experience
- 5-10 years management experience
Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Adobe PDF and Creative Suite
- Word Press web publishing
