CKTB – Assistant Program Director, Producer

Responsibilities – Assistant Program Director: 

  • Oversee all paid programming incl. scheduling of show recordings, fulfillment of client requirements and approval of host billings
  • Prepare weekly programming schedules, working with technical producer & traffic
  • Organize monthly announcer schedules and track vacation schedules
  • Attend weekly programming meetings in accordance with the schedule to be established by the Program Director
  • Develop and pitch specials, features and unique experiences for the listeners
  • Conduct audience research
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities – Show Producer: 

  • Prepare and deliver show segment ideas for The Drive – weekdays from 2p-6p, that are plugged in and reflect the Niagara region
  • Attend weekly show meetings in accordance with the schedule to be established by the Program Director & hosts
  • Book weekly guests and maintain interview schedule
  • Develop and maintain strong community relationships and awareness
  • Content preparation with multi-platform roll-out and engagement
  • Communicate effectively and creatively with show hosts & guests
  • Daily social media activity on all platforms
  • Board Operator as required

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with show production
  • Extensive Programming experience
  • Experience and comfort speaking directly to external guests/clients
  • Experience with audio/video editing software
  • Ability to handle live and breaking news situations
  • Established community relationships with strong connection to the Niagara region
  • Go-getter attitude with ability to quickly problem solve
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and sense of humour
  • Social Networking Skills (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, SMS and web knowledge)
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
  • Proven production skills with ability to take on additional responsibilities & duties as required
