CKLH – Music Director & Midday Announcer

Responsibilities – Music Director: 

• Prepare, schedule and maintain daily music logs for CKLH via Music Master.
• Attend weekly music and production meetings in accordance with the schedule to be established by the Program Director.
• Develop and pitch music specials, features and unique experiences for the listeners.
• Maintain strong industry relationships with all music labels.
• Conduct music research and update/edit music library accordingly.

Responsibilities – Midday Announcer: 

• Prepare and deliver live shows, weekdays from 10a-2pm, that are plugged in and reflect the Hamilton region.
• Operate the board.
• Content preparation for 102.9 with multi-platform roll-out and engagement.
• Communicate effectively and creatively with callers/listeners both on and off air.
• Daily social media activity on all platforms.
• Record and voice commercials as needed.
• Attend remotes and personal appearances as required.
• Voice track weekend shift weekly.
• Develop and maintain strong community awareness.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Music Master software.
• Experience with editing and maintaining music libraries.
• Established industry relationships.
• Minimum 2 Years relevant on-air experience with board operating experience.
• Ability to take directions with regards to on-air performance.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and sense of humour.
• Locally connected to the Hamilton region.
• Social Networking Skills (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, SMS and web knowledge).
• Dynamic, energetic, creative, innovative; love creating original content.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Wide Orbit.
