On June 16, Whiteoaks takes over 97.7 HTZ-FM and 610 CKTB and launches Dream 105.7 and Legend 102.9, marking the largest expansion in the company’s history.

2024

Whiteoaks reaches an agreement to acquire CKLH, CHTZ, CHRE, and CKTB from Bell Media, expanding its portfolio across Hamilton and Niagara.

2021

Matthew Caine is appointed President of Whiteoaks on January 1, marking the third generation of Caine family leadership.

2001

Joy 1250 launches on February 5, the first dedicated Christian radio station in the Greater Toronto Area.

2001

Michael Caine launches Prime Time Radio on January 8, marking the debut of CHWO on 740 AM and the expansion of Whiteoaks as an independent broadcaster.

2000

The CRTC grants approval for CHWO to move to 740 AM, the former Toronto frequency of the CBC. Approval is also granted for a new Christian station at 1250 AM.

1978

Jean Caine is presented with the Howard Caine Memorial Award by her son Michael, recognizing contributions to broadcasting and community service.

1974

CJMR launches in Mississauga on June 17, the first licensed radio station in the newly incorporated city.

1967

Jean Caine is appointed Station Manager of CHWO Radio Ltd. Following the death of Howard Caine, their son Michael joins the company to help run the business.

1956

Howard and Jean Caine launch CHWO Radio Ltd. in Oakville. The “White Oak” station goes on air November 17.

Vice President of Finance

Catherine runs the financial side of the business with a focus on precision and accountability. She builds the systems that keep everything on track, so the company can operate with clarity and confidence.

Michael Cassar
Vice President of Sales

Michael leads sales with a clear focus on results. He builds disciplined teams, sets high expectations, and works closely with clients to create partnerships that drive real business growth.

Travis Caine
Director of Marketing and Branding

Travis works across the business to bring clarity to brand and direction. He connects ideas and teams, turning strategy into creative work that feels consistent and intentional.

Lisa Vinc
Senior Manager, Program Director

Lisa leads programming by bringing people into the process. She sets direction, encourages collaboration, and helps shape ideas into work that connects with the community.

Hollie Taylor
Station Manager, Assistant Program Director

Hollie focuses on the people behind the work. She develops talent, connects teams, and creates an environment where content feels authentic to the audience it serves.

Summer Dent
Director of Engineering and IT

Summer brings decades of technical experience across engineering and broadcast systems. She oversees the infrastructure that keeps the stations on air, ensuring everything runs reliably.

Ryan Pratt
Group Director of IT Operations

Ryan builds and manages the systems that connect the entire operation. From studio to transmitter, he ensures everything works as one so teams can operate without interruption.
